2021 – A year of Changes and Challenges!

Can you believe 2021 is almost over? So many things have happened throughout this year that it is hard to believe that it is reaching its end.

Let’s recap! 👍

We started the year with more online events since travel restrictions and country lockdowns were still very much in place. However, these events gave us the possibility to continue networking and getting our businesses out there thanks to ITB and Travel Tech Show, among others.

At the same time, we started having more clarity around vaccinations and travel certificates which allowed passengers to slowly benefit from the advantages of exploring the world again.

Domestic travel, Self-drives, Staycations and Workations, started to become part of our vocabulary as we discovered how these new travel trends have become more and more popular.

International travel and business travel were probably the last ones to become a reality this year, with some interesting in-person events such as WTM London, Phocuswright Conference and Travolution Awards finally opening their doors to the public again.

Digitalisation was certainly at the top of many tech business discussions since the industry realized how important it was to stay connected, both with customers and business peers. But most importantly, businesses realized that they needed to adapt to the new “covid” reality with better and smarter digital solutions that could ultimately improve the scalability and visibility of their business.

For Nezasa, 2021 brought exciting new customer relationships and product developments. Together with our large customers, we have worked on having better support for group tours and peer-to-peer marketplace functionality as well as lots of improvements and extensions to current product functionality and supply options. Some of those extensions have already been released and some of them will come to our whole customer base in the first half of the New Year.

As a final note, we couldn’t be prouder of having received the 2021 Travolution Award for ‘Best Large Technology Supplier’ which confirms that Nezasa is moving in the right business and technology direction.

For this reason, in 2022 we will continue to revolutionise booking travel with the use of the best technology in the market and the trust of our customers and industry suppliers. 🚀
