Our story

Established in 2012, out of Zurich, Nezasa was started by a group of enthusiastic travellers (with some solid IT skills) who had an innovative idea to simplify travel. Their goal was to develop a technology that would shed the limitations of traditional travel by creating a tool that makes travel experiences more attractive, flexible and convenient.

The company initially sold travel packages directly to travellers and became a business to business (B2B) company in 2014. Since then, Nezasa provides the travel industry with outstanding itinerary generating technology drawing from a robust partner network that offers great products.

Our name represents our core offering: components pulled together into strong cohesive products that can be adjusted according to the different needs.

Nezasa operates the world’s most sophisticated platform for creating, personalising and booking travel packages. In short: Nezasa will lift the travel industry to the next level!

True Story: We got a taxi in Thailand, and he took us to the wrong airport. By the time we got to the airport in the middle of nowhere, we missed the flight. The next one was in 2 days. One of the baggage handlers had a brother who was looking after a hotel which was closed. So he let us stay there, just 2 of us, in a massive shutdown hotel with no staff.

True story: After living in Shanghai for 6 months, I took my dad on a trip to walk up Mount Tai and I assumed there would be an ATM at the top to pay for the hotel at the summit. Nope! Which meant a dinner of peanuts and bribing the only other tourists to give us some CNY for our backup USD – at the worst exchange rate ever!

True story: While climbing 6000m high Mentok Kangri, I had to self-arrest my roped party after their guide lost his grip and started slipping.

True story: During an adventure in middle Egypt, my wife and I found ourselves under a constant police escort. But the most unforgettable moment? Exploring the grave of Pharaoh Akhenaten in the company of a genuine archaeologist. With the grave’s lights out, we navigated its depths using flashlights, all the while humming the Indiana Jones theme as our backdrop. A tomb exploration fit for a movie scene!

True story: I once went on a 24h journey from New Delhi to Pokhara to start a 4 days hiking trip in the Annapurna region. Which ended up taking me more than 40h including a not moving train because of fog, sleeping on the border to Nepal. The rewarding views made it totally worth it.

True Story: Travelling is much more to me than just having leisure time. Travelling connects people with each other and highlights the differences, but above all, what we have in common.

True story: I once missed my connecting flight from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth. I had to drive all day across South Africa to get to my family in time for Christmas. I made it, and it was totally worth it!

True story: My first-ever trip to New York City – apart from the usual cool NYC attractions – included living with rats in one apartment, mice in another, surviving a hurricane, and enduring an earthquake.

And many more amazing people!
